Ride Magazine Publish Exhaust Survey Results

EMAP's Ride Magazine recently concluded their annual Rider Power survey, asking thousands of their readers for their views on bikes and kit. The results of the exhaust question make for interesting reading. Owners were asked to mark their exhaust can (not full systems here) out of 5. They also asked how much they paid for it. The results are as follows:

Position Manufacturer Average Price Score out of 5
Termignoni £302 4.55
Akrapovic £340 4.54
Staintune £361 4.33
Fuel £151 4.33
Yoshimura £293 4.30
Triumph £167 4.14
Blue Flame £241 4.13
Aprilia £316 4.11
Scorpion £174 4.05
Leo Vince £264 4.03
Quill £190 3.97
Remus £229 3.97
Laser £276 3.90
Carbon Can Company £136 3.87
Art £130 3.79
Micron £152 3.78
Viper £116 3.63

So Termignoni come out top, just pipping Akrapovic. What the survey does reveal is that on the whole you get what you pay for, with both the top two costing on average £100 more. That said Fuel Exhausts come in a commendable equal third with Australian outfit Staintune, and offer exception value with an average price of just £151.
