Suzuki Motorcycles

Suzuki have really been turning out some cracking bikes in recent years. For the last couple, the GSXR750 and GSXR1000 have been competing with one another in the biking press for the titles of the ultimate sports motorcycle. While the the 1000 of course has the cubic advantage there's something about the 750, now largely holding out as the last production race rep in this size that continues to hold appeal.

In the mid-90s Suzuki's Bandit really spiced things up at the budget end of the model range. What many journos called a 'parts bin special' the Bandit was genuinely stylish when first released and forced rival manufacturers to sit up and take note that there was a sizeable market for sports-engined naked roadsters. For a website concentrating on aftermarket exhausts and the performance increases they can offer we can't ignore the Bandit 1200. Replacing the end can on this bike will comfortably produce an extra 15bhp, take it down your local dyno and tweak the jetting a little and you'll see over 20bhp extra. Bear in mind when you learnt to ride you had less than that between your legs and it really makes you think!

Suzuki also boast some of the best-selling sports twins of the last 10 years in the SV650 and SV1000. Both are extremely capable motorcycles, the 650 offering a great introduction to sports bikes and the 1000 proving again what a beaut the TL1000 engine was. The exhaust note of a twin cylinder bike is often one aspect that attracts buyers and replacing the standard pipes on these bikes will bring music to your ears.

Though the Bandit has had its crown wrenched firmly from its head in recent years Suzuki have set about doing something about that with the GSR600. Another extremely stylish motorcycle this features underseat pipes as standard. Unfortunately Suzuki wrapped them in some rather nasty plastic trying to make the rear lights looks like exhaust outlets as well? But worry not, we've got a few suggestions to address that.
