Suzuki have released a new limited edition version of the 1250 Bandit which includes a Yoshimura ‘performance’ pipe as standard. The bike also gets Renthal bars and a single seat cowling, after over 15 years Suzuki finally recognising the bandit’s appeal among the streetfighter fraternity. I put ‘performance’ in inverted commas because Suzuki have managed to find a Yoshi can that doesn’t result in any increase in performance, and a barely discernible difference in exhaust note. The baffle isn’t removable should you want to spruce performance or sound. It’s a testament to the close relationship with Yoshimura and Suzuki that they allowed them to use their badge on such a pipe. Yoshimura are aftermarket performance specialists, the only real benefit from this mod is its lighter than the standard huge and heavy exhaust.
Kawasaki ZX-10R with free Akrapovic Exhausts
Suzuki isn’t the first manufacturer to recognise the appeal of throwing in aftermarket exhausts with new bikes to sweeten the deal. Kawasaki offer a pair of Akrapovic end cans on selected purchases of the ZX-10R earlier this year. See the official Kawasaki site for further details.
